Have patience with all things, but chiefly have patience with yourself. Do not lose courage in considering your own imperfections but instantly set about remedying them – every day begin the task anew. ~ Saint Francis de Sales (1567 – 1622) [Source]
In this busy era, everyone is rushing all over. Sometimes, in the process of rushing, we forget. Patience is something that we lose over the time with computers gearing for faster processors and more memory added to handle the load. With faster technology, we get things done.
When it comes to people, we tend to apply the same speed on others and ourselves. When we can’t seem to achieve the results fast enough, we lose it. Buildings take time to build because they need to have strong foundations in order to support the weight load.
Trees need years to grow because they have to bear the fruits for the next few generations. Ships need time to build because they will be sailing in stormy weather. If we hurry those things just like we use “Speed Up” option in some of the games provided, can we be assured that the ship is safe to sail? Can we be assured of the quality of the fruits? Can we be safe in a building that it can withstand the storm, rain or slight earthquakes?
Do you have patience for yourself first?
