Time is money. ~ Benjamin Franklin [Source]
It is critical to have money when it comes to food and basic necessities. Without money, we can’t do anything, perhaps we used to be able to forage for food but with urbanisation overtaking the forests, we are left with one choice. That is to spend the money, no matter what the amount, on food and transport.
The prices for food and transport are something that we have absolutely no control over. That’s why we are trading our time for money by working for someone whom we may not like. It is a well-known fact that we can’t choose our parents or bosses. We can only choose our destinies.
However, how much time do we have left to trade for money? Hence, the influx of people attempting various methods; from blogging to selling handmade stuff online to reduce the overhead costs.
Yet, which is the one thing that will truly help us gain our freedom? The freedom to wake up at any time, visit exhibitions during weekdays where most people are trading their time for money, enjoy high tea at 3pm to 5pm, ride roller coasters at 10am in Universal Studios, or watch TV the whole day. What makes us use our spare time to work on something for us to be able to buy back our time?
