When we talk about change, it can mean a lot of things. From changing a new job scope to a new life with someone else. Marriage brings about changes, so does a new job. We want to live life to the fullest. We don’t want to regret that we didn’t do this or that. In The Bucket List, 2 men got to know each other upon hospitalisation and lived their last days to the fullest by fulfilling their bucket list.
Besides leaving a will, one doesn’t want to regret not pursuing that degree, that job you have always wanted to do, that girl you wished you have married or saying you loved your parents despite having quarreled with them over something insignificant.
Remember Nike’s motto? Just do it. It’s about owning your choices. It’s about knowing that life is short, you want to make full use of what time you have left to live it. Ever thought about volunteering? Looking after cats, dogs or be a dog sitter?
Being a writer doesn’t mean that you will be able to live off the earnings from writing. There are thousands of Stephen King, R. K. Rowling and Robin Cook wannabes. That’s why there are people like Ashley Dupre who has two careers for synergy.
Living life to the fullest doesn’t mean neglecting your family either. It means besides fulfilling your passion, you also get to spend time with your family with better time management.
