Mistakes Won’t Kill Us

March 20, 2008 |

Mistakes are part of our lives. We make mistakes are one time or the other. We chose the wrong colour for the dress or shirt. We dialed the wrong number thinking it was our friend and started gossiping when it was really the person whom you were going to talk about with another friend.

Always make new mistakes [by ms. Tibbetts]
Did your life come crashing down? Did that friend decide to call off the friendship with you? Did you burn the dress or shirt? We are often told not to speak bad about others behind their backs. The Chinese saying goes this way, “Good intentions will receive good returns” 好心有好报. The bad ones will receive their just desserts. 报因. This is called karma.

From these mistakes, we take them as lessons for us not to commit in future. It is life’s way of telling us to be more aware and improve ourselves. Mistakes are not obstacles. They are lessons to be learnt from. Accept your shortcomings. While habits may play a part in making the errors, the world is not coming to an end. Your life doesn’t end there either.

Take a deep breath and tackle that task and learn. As long as you don’t dwell on the negative part too long, your life will move on. Time and tide waits for no man. Reading a few quotes do make you stop and think. It works for me. It may just work for you too.
