Persist and persevere, and you will find most things that are attainable, possible. ~ Lord Chesterfield ~ [Source]

Living in this fast-paced world, we are so used to things being done fast that persistence is being forgotten. Advertisements scream out quick fixes for almost anything that you can think of. Why do you think that Olympic athlete is able to compete in the Olympics? Did he/she just ask for Fairy Godmother on making the wishes come true?

Why are some Hollywood actors or actresses so famous and earning so much more than the rest? Even publishing a book is about persisting. If J. K. Rowling had given up after being rejected by the 1st publisher, would she be selling all of Harry Potter’s books now and earning more than before she did before?

Would you be walking right now if you didn’t persist in standing from the countless number of falls you took as a child? What if the water didn’t flow from the mountains and simply stopped at the foot of the mountains? There won’t be any rivers, lakes or even ponds.

Have you persisted in attaining your goals despite the odds?
