Feeling overworked and want to rest for a while? Notice that once you stop doing something for too long, you don’t have the energy to keep at it again. There are practical ways to get our of the lazy rut. It’s easy to stop and give up doing it. It could also be due to 3 causes of laziness that keeps you being stuck.
Once the root causes are identified, getting unstuck in the lazy rut is the next step. Job distraction is fast becoming a problem at work and can cost the employers money. Ditch the distraction. You don’t want to be caught surfing the web at work that isn’t related to work.
Another way is to make laziness work for you. Do something that excites you. Automate the boring tasks. There are times when something that cries for your attention but it isn’t that urgent, stall for time. Most of the time, that won’t be needed as it won’t matter after 2 weeks.
Have lazy days. Do things slowly when tasks threaten to overwhelm. Nuke the laziness without becoming a workaholic.
What other ways do you have to stop being lazy?
