We are born into this world not by choice. However, we would be happier when we are given choices. What we treasure most is the freedom to do anything; remember the “Freedom of speech”?
- Freedom to move anywhere on this planet, freedom to travel, freedom to select a partner based on spiritual values or human values rather than survival values.
- Freedom to select job, business, location of living
- Freedom of education – freedom to learn what ever you want
- Freedom to do any time and anywhere what you love to do
- Freedom to change anything in life
- Freedom to make your very own personal decisions and realize those decisions on your own
When we treasure something, it’s our values. It isn’t anyone else because we are individuals with similar values but not exactly the same. We do things just because we feel that way. There are things that are priority in our hearts and often, God and family are our main priorities. For others, it’s family first. However, when one spends so much time with activities related to the religion and forgets about the family or worse, thinks the family doesn’t care when one doesn’t make time for the family and resents the family when it’s one’s responsibility to make time to spend with the family, who is the one who needs to reflect and prioritise?
Family members may judge but they are still the only ones who will stand by and support you when you really need them to be there. They are the only ones who will still be there (unless they have lost their priorities in life) when you need them to help you when your friends who are busy with their lives to stand by you even when they said so.
