Some people have mentors for their careers. They look to them for guidance when they face difficulties while climbing up the corporate ladder or during their entrepreneurships. Mentors provide you with the experience gained during their journeys in life.

They give you some tips or insights gained from changing careers. Career changes can be drastic for some while it may be a breeze for others. When the family is unable to help you with the changes, your mentor will guide you on how to manage the stress during this difficult period. Students looking at career options may find themselves paired with an alumni for help.

There are ways to find a mentor or two for yourself. The following are some of the tips to help yourself.

  • A mentor with the same goals as you.
  • Does your company provide such a programme to help employees?
  • Look within yourself.
